Episode # 46 - Intellectual Developmental Disorders

In this Episode, Laurie and Abbey talk about intellectual developmental disorders, most commonly understood as mental retardation, before the federal government changed the name legally to intellectual disability.

They talk about how an individual is evaluated and determined to have an intellectual disability, what the school setting can look like for these students, and what services are available in school, and after they’ve moved on from the public education system.
