Laurie Peterson started Diagnostic Learning services in 2004, working as a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as providing Diagnostic testing for students and adults in need. Dr. Abbey Weinstein Joined Laurie and her team in 2018 and is now our Director of assessment.
Laurie and Abbey work together with our team of diagnosticians across Texas to provide comprehensive evaluations for people of all ages across the country.
Diagnostic Learning provides testing and assessments for a wide range of learning disabilities.
In-depth methods are used combined with a team of state-certified Educational Diagnosticians. This ensures an accurate and well-documented diagnosis.
ADHD
Students suffering from ADHD, or ADD, have a hard time paying attention especially when the work is boring or overwhelming.
Dyslexia
Dyslexia is a language-based learning disability that affects how students turn letters and sounds into words. This impacts a student’s ability to recognize and decode words, read fluently, and spell.
Dyscalculia
A learning difference characterized by difficulty in understanding number sense such as learning math facts, sequencing events, and/or the inability to recognize simple patterns.
Dysgraphia
As a result of weak fine motor skills, students with dysgraphia have a hard time writing neatly, properly spacing letters or words, copying down text, and getting their thoughts onto paper.
