Tricia shares her experience with her middle child, Sydney, who displayed intense emotions from a young age. Sydney’s struggles became apparent during her transition to school, especially in kindergarten, when the family moved from Illinois to Hawaii. Tricia noticed extreme emotional reactions and difficulty with reading, prompting her to investigate further.
